James proposed to me on June 28th in Lamoille Canyon. We went up there under the pretense of geocaching. He handed me the GPS and had me lead the way. I found it (feeling triumphant that I had beat James to it), and popped it open. Instead of a log and swag I found flowers and a proposal. I read the sweet note which ended with "Will you marry me?" I turned to look at him and there he was, pulling out a ring box. My eloquent response was something to the effect of "Are you serious? Like for reals?" Then there were squeals and tears and laughter and hugs and kisses. It took me about 3 minutes to muster a proper answer. I blame the sparkly-ness of the diamond. It made it very hard to focus.
So now the girl that was going to be single forever is going to be a wife. Funny what finding the right person will do to you.
I knew James was special the moment I laid eyes on him. Something in me just knew that by having met him my life would never be the same. I never imagined how much.

I didn't know you were writing on your blog again and I checked it and there's tons of articles. I'm so happy and excited for you.
I love real life love stories. It gives all us older single people another reason to keep trying.
